Overview

Rockford Fosgate’s Element Ready™ product line, with Marine Grade IPX6 certification, takes into account the effects and elements of the environment and takes measures to ensure lasting rock solid sound performance.
These elements include Dust Resistance, the use of UV Inhibitor Materials like Centrex which is exclusive to Rockford Fosgate when it comes to marine audio manufacturing, Thermal Shock Tests, Stainless Hardware, Water Tests, Corrosion Protection (Speakers and Electronics) and Vibration. Only after rigorous testing can a Rockford Fosgate product pass the Element Ready grading standard.
          AMPLIFIER
Marine amplifiers were developed for marine audio environments that feature UV resistant protection and special internal conformal coating that protect the electronics from water. It’s designed for those who want a reliable amplifier – with all the power and performance you’ve come to expect from Rockford Fosgate – at an economical price. Rockford Fosgate amplifiers are renowned world-wide for being “under rated,” easily surpassing all specifications, and most importantly, generating more power than their ratings.

SPEAKERS

We use high grade UV resistant materials for our speaker housings and
grilles and make sure that they meet or exceed ASTM testing standards.
We also subject them to salt spray (fog) testing to make sure that exposure
to the environment will not cause issues with corrosion, both from a
hardware or electrical connection standpoint.

SOURCE UNIT

Rockford’s PMX series of source units and remotes are fully tested against
UV radiation degradation as well as tested to IPX water and dust intrusion
standards. We also fully test the units for ever-changing environmental
conditions such as temperature extremes, as well as vibration testing
to make sure they can take a bump and keep performing like a Rockford
product should.

          SUBWOOFER

The M1 series of Element Ready™ subwoofers are designed to pair with the Rockford Fosgate Color Optix™ Controller and RF Connect App through its Deutsch™ and Amphenol™ connectors integrated into the basket. This combined with their IP67 certification make these speakers Element Ready™ and truly purpose built for marine applications. To compliment the plug and play connectivity and streamline installation, M1 subwoofers are equipped with a VersaSwitch™ to make changing impedance between 1 and 4 ohms as easy as flipping a switch.
